São Paulo-based Suzano Pulp and Paper has started the first-ever production of hardwood fluff pulp, which has been named Eucafluff. This is also the first time that fluff pulp has been produced in Brazil.
A R$30 million investment, announced in May this year, marked the company’s entry into this segment, with an initial annual production capacity of 100,000 tons. Production is concentrated at the Suzano Unit in São Paulo, following the retrofitting of a printing and writing paper machine and is already certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
