Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

RKW Group has assumed 100% ownership of the Belgian company Hyplast NV following approval by the German Anti-Trust Commission.

The company will now operate under the name RKW Hyplast NV and the acquisition will have a very positive strategic impact on RKW’s agricultural films and nets business, with significant synergy between the two companies.

The Belgian plastics manufacturer produces a wide range of silage films and tubes and early harvest and greenhouse films, as well as some construction films.

Included in the purchase is the recycling company KPR as well as an office in Chester, South Carolina, USA which takes care of the marketing and sales of products for the North American market.

“This acquisition creates a leading contender in the European plastic agricultural business,” said Roland Roth, CEO of RKW. “Due to the perfect fit, we expect high synergies and we will significantly strengthen our strategic position.”
