BUFFALO – Unifrax has changed its name to Alkegen, to reflect the new company created following the acquisition of Lydall late last year, and will also move its corporate headquarters for the company’s Filtration and Battery businesses to Dallas, Texas.

The name change represents a new chapter for a unified company with a focus on applications including battery technologies, electric vehicles, filtration media and speciality insulation materials enabling customers to reduce fossil fuel consumption and save energy.

The company’s base in Tonawanda, New York, will remain headquarteres for its Thermal Insulation and Emission Control businesses.
