Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

DALTON - H.B. Fuller will showcase it next generation technologies and latest adhesives solutions at INDEX 20 which, the company says, enable natural substrates’ bonding to address the rising demand for eco-friendly articles and support producers’ own sustainability, efficiency and regulatory goals.

As the company notes, regulatory pressures, circular economy, importance of traceability and transparency, mobile applications that allow consumers to easily check ingredients, and other measures such as the United Nations SDGS goals have made it imperative for manufacturers to focus on sustainability through their entire product lifecycle.

"Eco-consciousness is indeed a reality and a major global trend," explained Lynne Purvis, EIMEA Hygiene Marketing Manager. "In the Hygiene industry, what began as a differentiation effort by startups in the industry has now become a global effort by brands owners."

At the show, under the 'Deliver Leaner' concept, H.B. Fuller will demonstrate a range of innovative adhesives and smart technical services that increases line efficiencies and enables a leaner manufacturing process for increased productivity. This includes higher mileage products, lower application temperature grades and automated delivery systems to simplify the adhesive handling process.

Under its 'Imagine Greener' concept, the company latest product innovations include high-performance bonding solutions for more demanding natural substrates, adhesives with increasing bio-based content or even reducing carbon footprint with alternative packaging.

H.B. Fuller is also promoting its 'Discover Cleaner' model, which helps hygiene manufacturers address the rising demand for ingredients’ transparency and safety driven by consumer groups and Non-Governmental Organizations. This is also aimed at helping manufacturers deliver safe articles that are compliant or even at lower limits versus industry Substance of Interest (SOI) targets.

At the show, H.B. Fuller can be found at booth no. 1522.
