NEW DELHI - EDANA has confirmed a number of high profile speakers who will discuss issues surrounding sustainability in the hygiene industry at the upcoming Outlook India event, which takes place from 18-19 January, 2023.
Delivering the keynote address will be Lori Shaffer, Supply Chain/R&D, at Kimberly-Clark in the United States who will discuss how Sustainable materials deliver better care for a better world.
This will be followed by Rajasekaran Thangavel, Technology Manager, Bostik (India) who will look at Opportunities to create sustainable consumer loyalty in the period care market with detailed discussion on period care market and consumer needs, challenges and impact of underwear fabric choice on pad performance, and adhesive innovations.
Chirag Virani, Co-founder, Sparkle Life (USA/India) will then discuss Sustainability and circularity in the absorbent hygiene products industry which will include information on the growing Indian sustainable products market and its preference from Gen Z and millennials, followed by Rahul Bansal, AVP-Global Sales & Marketing Nonwovens, Birla Cellulose (India) who will deliver a presentation entitled Improving the sustainability of wipes and AHP through raw material and functional innovation. This presentation will discuss wipes and hygiene- present composition and concerns, global regulations (India specific), waste disposal challenges and alternate material availability.
Jose Ruiz, product sustainability regulatory affairs & operations manager, Exxon Mobil then address delegates with information on Enabling advanced recycling solutions for the nonwoven and hygiene industry. This discussion will include an overview of ExxonMobil’s advanced recycling solutions including expanding the lifecycle of plastic throughout the hygiene value chain and creating a regulatory framework that allows the rapid scale-up of plastics recycling.
