STOCKHOLM – Ahlstrom has completed its acquisition of the Stevens Point facility, a high-end solutions provider in food and consumer packaging, and e-commerce applications.

The transaction was announced on April 3, 2025, and marks a major milestone in Ahlstrom’s growth transformation.

Located in Wisconsin, USA, Stevens Point provides a range of unique and complementary capabilities including state-of-the-art finishing and coating technologies. The acquisition also brings premium-quality products, long-standing customer relationships, and the experience and expertise of the site’s 260 people.

With the acquisition, Ahlstrom says it can create more value for its customers and other stakeholders and enhance its position as one of the leading suppliers in the food and consumer packaging segment.

“Stevens Point’s superior technical expertise and top-class team are an exciting addition to Ahlstrom’s technology portfolio and global manufacturing network,” said Konraad Dullaert, executive vice president, food & consumer packaging and chief innovation officer, Ahlstrom.

“This acquisition expands our market coverage and positions us to respond to the evolving needs of our customers in North America and beyond. We are pleased to welcome our new colleagues and look forward to working together to enhance our innovative, sustainable offerings.”

“This acquisition is an important strategic step,” added Helen Mets, CEO and president, Ahlstrom. “With Stevens Point we are strengthening the breadth and quality of our sustainable offerings to customers in our Food and Consumer Packaging division.
