Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

Desiderio Catala of Alcocertex with Robert Laroche and Charles Junker of Laroche during ITMA 2011.The French manufacturers of machinery for nonwovens production represented by the UCMTF report major new projects secured at the recent ITMA trade show in Barcelona.

“There seem to be two different worlds – the financial world in jeopardy and a real economy where entrepreneurs have long term goals and innovative projects to ensure the growth and the profitabilty of their companies,” comments UCMTF chairman Bruno Ameline.

The show was a particular success for Laroche, which reports sales of recycling machinery to customers in Spain, Indonesia, Pakistan and Mexico.

Spanish company Alcocertex, for example, ordered what will be its tenth Jumbo/Exel tearing line in Barcelona and there was keen interest in the latest generation Laroche Flexiloft airlaying line.
