ESPELKAMP – An insulating and reflective geotextile made from 100% biodegradable nonwovens is now being used to delay the melting of snow deposits and protect glacier surfaces in the Alps.
GlacierProtect from Germany’s Naue is made from mechanically bonded Secutex Green, a nonwoven made exclusively from renewable raw materials with certified biodegradability under the influence of all relevant environmental conditions. As a result, the residues of the product do no harm to the environment.
