In the first print issue of Sustainable Nonwovens at the start of 2012, we reported that a UK company called Cella Energy was employing nanofibre nonwovens as a component in the technology for safe and low-cost hydrogen storage. 

Cella has now entered into a a joint venture with the French multi-national Safran – a company with sales of €14.7 billion in 2013 and with over 60,000 employees worldwide – to make this technology a commercial reality for the aerospace industry.
