EDANA’s 2015 Sustainability Report highlights a wide range of initiatives the organisation and its member companies have undertaken since 2011.
As the international association serving the nonwovens and related industries, EDANA’s diverse membership numbers more than 240 companies and represents over 90% of the industry across the value chain. This vertically integrated structure encompasses upstream suppliers, converters and producers, providing tangible benefits.
“The key to meeting expectations in the field of sustainability is to continue to support innovation and good practices and communicate the benefits of nonwovens and related products,” says EDANA general manager Pierre Wiertz. “This is something that has been done quite well for absorbent hygiene products and over the last few years we have started expanding this to all categories of nonwovens.”
