Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is mourning the loss of Edward ‘Ed’ Vaughn, nonwovens training educator, INDA consultant and professor emeritus at Clemson University.

Vaughn, 75, of Clemson, South Carolina, died 20 August. He is remembered fondly by the association for his many contributions as an educator and advocate for the industry. He taught textiles and nonwovens at the Clemson University School of Materials Science and Engineering.

Vaughn taught many INDA nonwovens training courses, including the Intermediate Nonwovens Training Course, formerly INDA’s Advanced Nonwovens Training Course. INDA recognised Vaughn in 2004 with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
