New processing capacity in Montana will supply refined hemp fibre for spinning and nonwovens production
FORT BENTON - IND Hemp has invested in a secondary fibre processing line at its IH Fiber decortication facility in Fort Benton, Montana, USA, adding opening, cleaning and cottonising capabilities for hemp fibre.
The equipment, supplied by Truetzschler, is designed to bring decorticated hemp to a ready-to-spin quality at the point of processing. The company said the investment will also support direct supply to nonwoven manufacturers.
