Supplier to nonwovens sector accelerating investments in solutions that combine emissions reduction, energy security, and competitiveness

SÃO PAULO – Biopolymer specialist Braskem, which manufacturers ‘I’m green’ bio-based high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for nonwovens, says it has already achieved more than two-thirds of its goal of reducing absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its operations by 15% by 2030.

The progress is said to be the result of the company's ‘Industrial Decarbonization Program’, which has already implemented initiatives responsible for reducing more than 1.2 million tons of CO²e per year.
