Research yields conductive nonwovens for wearable technology

BAYREUTH – Researchers from the University of Bayreuch, have teamed up with Donghua University and Nanjing Forestry University to develop conductive nonwoven textiles. The research team modified the process of electro-spinning to create the fabrics, using short electro-spun polymer fibres and small amounts of silver wiring to attain integrated conductivity.
