  • EDANA’s Outlook programme announced

    Industry association EDANA has announced the keynote and confirmed speakers for the 2015 Outlook 2015 conference for the nonwovens and personal care products supply chain. 

    This event will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Athens, Greece, from September 23-25 2015. 

    EDANA is pleased to welcome back Robert Ward from the Economist Intelligence Unit as the keynote speaker to provide EU-centred and global macroeconomic outlooks.
    Other confirmed speakers include:

    • John Pollaro, president of John Pollaro Consulting: Disposable Absorbent Products – Is There Anything Left To Invent?

    • Frank Wiesemann, principal scientist at Procter & Gamble: Improving the Relevance and Consistency of Consumer Associations’ Testing.

    • Jonathan Bourget, director of Apis Rex Consulting: The Role of Private Equity in the Development of the Nonwovens Industry.

    • Karl-Michael Schumann, of Karl-Michael Schumann: Consulting on an Innovative Approach to Strategic Raw Materials.

    • David Dodwell, CEO of Strategic Access: The Rise of China and the Asia-Pacific: Understanding the Challenges, Harnessing the Opportunities.

    Speakers also include representatives from Dow, Eastmanm Georgia Pacific and LG Chem on the key new material developments, coverage of the evaluation of nonwovens materials softness and lessons from the testing of tissue. In addition, a Unicharm paper will outline the cultural differences in the perception of feminine hygiene products and innovative solutions from Japan.

    The conference provides updates on market growth and opportunities, innovations and information on technological developments for the diaper, wet wipe and incontinence product categories. Additionally, Outlook delivers a wealth of economic information that enable business decisions for the future, gathering the supply chain in one place, providing a first-class and cost efficient platform for networking with industry experts and identifying new contacts and business opportunities.
