Coca Cola is making an additional investment in Virent – one of a number of companies currently working on the commercialisation of bio-based paraxylene, with the aim of achieving 100% renewable PET plastics and fibres.
This new cash injection will enable Virent to scale up the separation and purification of BioFormPX paraxylene at its demonstration plant in Madison, Wisconsin.
