    Adhesives are currently the missing component in the drive to successfully develop 100% renewable disposable hygiene products such as diapers. 

    Much progress has already been made in respect of the fibres and nonwovens, supearbsorbent polymers and elastics that make up the bulk of such items. 

    Now one of the leading adhesives manufacturers has teamed up with a growing developer of bioplastics in a bid to develop a global family of biobased hot melt adhesives, although initially targeted at the packaging market.
