OAKLAND – Clorox Healthcare has launched two new disinfecting wipe products designed to close gaps in daily disinfection practices in healthcare facilities.

The Clorox Healthcare Quat Alcohol disinfecting wipes and Clorox Healthcare HyperOxi disinfecting wipes target compliance, workflow efficiency and sporicidal performance in high‑throughput clinical settings.

The quat alcohol-based wipes are said to be formulated with 40% less alcohol than other leading comparator products to help surfaces remain visibly wet for the full one‑minute contact time. This is intended to reduce the need for re‑wiping and support staff in meeting prescribed disinfection protocols without adding extra process steps.

According to Clorox Healthcare, the Quat Alcohol Disinfecting Wipes use a patent‑pending triple‑active formulation to deliver rapid efficacy within a daily-use surface disinfection regime. The product is positioned to help infection prevention and environmental services teams manage escalating microbial threats such as Candida auris while working under staffing and time pressures.

The HyperOxi disinfecting wipes extend the company’s sporicidal portfolio with its first bleach‑free sporicidal wipe line, powered by what Clorox describes as Quanticare Technology. The non‑bleach formulation is reported to achieve elimination of Clostridioides difficile spores in four minutes and other key pathogens, including tuberculosis, C. auris and norovirus, in one minute or less.

For surface care and user comfort, the HyperOxi wipes are designed to offer broad material compatibility, a non‑bleach scent and minimal residue. This is aimed at making sporicidal disinfection more acceptable for more frequent use on a wider range of substrates, including sensitive equipment surfaces and high‑touch areas.

The launches sit within an expanded Clorox Healthcare portfolio of wipes and sprays that is focused on real‑world disinfection tasks rather than consumer applications. The company emphasises that the new products are designed to support infection prevention teams who are expected to “do more with less” while still meeting stringent contact‑time and efficacy targets.

“Infection prevention teams are under increasing pressure to do more with less and disinfection solutions must be designed for the realities of today’s healthcare environments,” said Alec Frisch, general manager, CloroxPro.

“With Clorox Healthcare Quat Alcohol disinfecting wipes and Clorox Healthcare HyperOxi disinfecting wipes, we’re delivering innovations designed for real‑world compliance – helping teams meet required contact times without added steps or slowdowns, while providing options that make sporicidal disinfection more comfortable for everyday use.”
