An impressive digitally printed nonwoven formed the entire back wall of Erfurt’s stand at least week’s Heimtextil show in Frankfurt.

Measuring eleven metres by six metres, it showed the full potential of the On Wall system, as the German company continues to push the case for nonwovens as the natural materials for wallcoverings.

Erfurt’s nonwoven wallpapers are extremely durable and dimensionally stable, while covering all cracks, but in addition to being hard-wearing they are also easy to handle. They can be hung without the need for soaking using the wall adhesion technique. And they neither stretch nor shrink due to their breathable combination of cellulosic fibres and polyester. When a new look is required, the nonwovens can be easily stripped from the dry wall.

The company introduced two new variations of its nonwoven wallpaper at Heimtextil 2014 – 791, which has a striking grid patterned texture, and Erfurt-Vliesfaser 792, with a natural linen look and feel.

The On Wall design concept, meanwhile, combines digitally-printed nonwoven images with paintable nonwoven textures and matching paints and is aimed at creating impressive interiors for businesses. Customers can provide their own central image or choose from an extensive stock.

There are also now over 45 digital print wallpaper images in the company’s Natural Finishes section, which have been selected to bring nature and the environment indoors. High-resolution images such as brick, marble, pear wood or pebbles are extremely sharp as a result of the special 3D scanning process with which they’re produced.
