Viscose fibres manufacturer Kelheim Fibres has progressed with its development of infrared (IR) reflective fibres. The Germany-based company says its spinning trials showed the new IR fibre, which can be used for both nonwoven and textile processes, is effective for the reflectance of direct sunlight and is capable of providing a cooling effect, which can protect the human body from outside radiation.
