LifeMatFibre glass materials company Owens Corning showcased its LifeMat retainer mats for heavy duty lead-acid batteries and pasting mat for continuous pasted plates at the Asian Battery Conference earlier this month in Bangkok, Thailand.

Made with Advantex E-CR corrosion-resistant glass technology, the retainer mats are said to provide superior oxidation resistance at high temperatures compared to polyester nonwovens, as well as high purity, homogenous thickness and porosity, and low electrical resistance.
