Johns Manville introduced a range of new technical nonwovens at the recent Techtextil 2015 in Frankfurt, including a number for ceiling tiles based on glass fibres in filled, unfilled and coated versions and characterised by smooth and even surfaces.

These are available in customised colours and are Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort certified.

Glass fibre nonwovens for the production of luxury vinyl tiles are characterised by high dimensional stability under different thermal conditions with smooth and even surfaces, as well as an open structure that favours very good paste saturation. These products are available in a broad range of area weights.

Lead pasting glass fibre nonwovens for EFB batteries are designed to provide excellent coverage of the reactive lead paste. These specially engineered nonwovens reinforce the surface, which in turn, effectively prevents the trickling of lead particles during the life-time of the battery. The products don’t rot in sulphuric acid very good tear strength in aqueous environments.

3D PET spunbond honeycombs from JM have been specially designed for lightweight composites and provide excellent thermo-formability and stiffness, along with high insulation properties and mechanical strength.

PET spunbonds produced on the company’s new bicomponent spinbond line in Berlin are aimed at industrial air pollution control applications and include cleanable filter media with dust class M characterised by high mechanical strength and pleatability.
