Oeko-Tex reports cotton traceability growth

Certification organisation says supply-chain verification is becoming essential for market access as regulatory scrutiny intensifies

Oeko-Tex said its ‘organic cotton programme now has certified supply-chain partners in more than 20 countries

ZURICH - Oeko-Tex has reported increased uptake of its traceability-focused certification and labelling programmes during its 2025/2026 financial year, as textile and nonwovens supply chains face tighter documentation requirements in the EU, North America and other major markets.

The organisation said verified origin data is increasingly moving from a commercial differentiator to a condition of market access.
