Woolchemy and BCNonwovens partner on wool-based fabrics

Deal will help advance sheep wool into high-performance, sustainable materials for the hygiene sector

Agreement reflects a shared intent to reduce reliance on fossil-derived plastics in disposable hygiene products

WELLINGTON – Sustainable textile firm Woolchemy, the manufacturer of a high performance, wool-based acquisition distribution layers (ADL), has signed a collaboration agreement with Spain-based spunlace specialist, BCNonwovens (BCN).

Under the terms of the agreement, Woolchemy and BCNonwovens will scale-up manufacturing of the neweFlex platform and its application formats, including neweFlex ADL and neweFlex WIPE, for use in wipes, baby care, feminine hygiene, and incontinence products.
