NatureWorks opens Thai PLA biopolymer plant to boost Ingeo fibre supply

New fully integrated PLA facility in Thailand is set to increase global availability of Ingeo biopolymers for nonwoven, packaging, and technical textile applications

NAKHON SAWAN - NatureWorks has inaugurated a fully integrated Ingeo polylactic acid (PLA) manufacturing complex in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, establishing its first Asian production base and second global site.

The facility positions the company as the first PLA producer to operate multiple manufacturing locations worldwide, aimed at strengthening regional supply for biobased materials users.
