BRUSSELS – The aims of the B Corp movement and the benefits of joining the over 6,000 companies already certified were explained during a webinar broadcast on February 21st by nonwovens industry association EDANA.

Nicolás Gemio, business development coordinator for B Lab Europe, based in The Netherlands, said that the broad goals of the movement were to transform the rules of business by building the momentum to replace the 20th Century model for corporations which is largely focused on shareholders and short-termism, while being highly extractive of the ecosystem, to companies that are inclusive, focused on the long term and regenerative.
