While many companies carry out their own in-house training schemes or send new employees away on courses, there is no formally-recognised qualification specific to the nonwovens industry.
This is something the UK’s Nonwovens Network has been working to address for some time now, and in order to meet the skills needs of the current and future workforce, a new apprentice programme has been developed and will be launched next month.
