Lenzing to prioritise nonwovens as fibre business is reshaped

Lenzing consolidates its fibre production network as part of a wider nonwovens‑focused transformation plan

LENZING - Cellulosic fibre specialist Lenzing has announced a major restructuring plan that will see it phase out textile fibre production at two of its major European plants while also growing its nonwovens business substantially by 2030.

The plan includes a consolidation of the company’s global fibre production footprint, in parallel with the ongoing divestment process for its Indonesian viscose operation PT South Pacific Viscose.
