Barmag’s consolidation lifts Rieter’s sales and orders, while uneven machinery investment and margin pressure prompts revised outlook

WINTERTHUR - Rieter, the Switzerland-based textile machinery supplier, has reported higher nine-month sales and orders following its acquisition of Barmag, while lowering its profitability outlook for 2026.

The group, which recently completed the initial integration of Barmag, including Oerlikon Nonwoven, says it is restructuring its manufacturing operations as investment conditions remain uneven across its markets.
