    Alkegen upgrades needlefelt line

    A €1.5 million equipment investment is increasing output, yield and product flexibility for technical needlefelt fabrics made in Germany

    FULDA - Speciality materials manufacturer Alkegen has completed a €1.5 million investment in needlefelt production equipment at its Fulda site in Germany, expanding capacity for industrial and technical nonwoven applications.

    The project centres on the installation of an elliptical pre-needle loom on an existing needlefelt line. The machine is designed to provide closer control of web elongation in both the machine and cross directions.
