Green light for acquisition dependent on sale of Carefree and Stayfree period care brands
DALLAS - Kimberly-Clark’s proposed US$48.7 billion acquisition of Kenvue has been cleared in Australia, but only on condition that the company divests the Carefree and Stayfree period care brands in the market.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said the sale was required to preserve competition in a category where the two groups are among the three main suppliers.
