BRUSSELS - The European Union hydroentangled cellulose nonwoven market is moving from a niche industrial consumable into a more strategically important material category.

Demand is rising from electronics manufacturing, cleanroom operations and medical applications, while sustainability requirements are pushing some users away from polypropylene-based wipes and towards cellulose-based alternatives, a new report suggests.
