Ahlstrom brings lignin-based filtration to Europe

Turin - Ahlstrom has begun European production of its Eco lignin-containing filtration media at its Turin, Italy plant, expanding capacity beyond its Louveira, Brazil site to better serve automotive OEM and aftermarket customers seeking lower-impact engine air and liquid filtration solutions.

The move responds to tightening emissions regulations and the wider transformation of the transport sector, which is driving demand for filtration media that combine high efficiency with reduced environmental footprints in engine air, oil and fuel applications.
