Plant-based finish targets bacterial contamination

ESTE - Biocompatibility Innovation (BCI) has launched B-Kool, a plant-based technology that aims to prevent bacterial contamination in nonwovens, textiles and other materials by stopping microorganisms from adhering to surfaces rather than killing them with biocides.

The company is positioning the development as an alternative to conventional antimicrobial chemistries for hygiene-critical applications across consumer and industrial markets.
