Stora Enso boosts fluff pulp capacity

STOCKHOLM – Pulp manufacturer Stora Enso is investing €19 million to increase fluff pulp production at its Skutskär production unit in Sweden while permanently closing softwood pulp fibreline 3, sharpening the site’s focus on specialised hygiene grades.

The upgrade will raise Skutskär’s fluff output by around 10%, taking the site’s annual capacity to about 440,000 tonnes of fluff pulp once the project is completed in the fourth quarter of 2027.
