Afyren accelerates ramp-up at biobased acids plant

Afyren has reported further progress in the industrial ramp-up of its Afyren Neoxy biorefinery in France, as production of biobased acids continues to scale through 2026

CLERMONT-FERRAND - Afyren, a French greentech company supplying biobased, low‑carbon carboxylic acids via fermentation, says Afyren Neoxy generated around €1 million in revenue in the first half of 2026, compared with approximately €0.5 million for full‑year 2025.

The plant, located in the Grand‑Est region and based on a circular model using non‑food agricultural co‑products as feedstock, produces several hundred tonnes of organic acids alongside fertiliser co‑products for industrial markets.
