Panda Biotech partners on India hemp joint venture

US‑grown mechanically processed hemp fibre will now be degummed, spun and supplied as yarn in India, targeting both nonwovens and textile applications

DALLAS - Panda Biotech has partnered with Culturewell Trading and its subsidiary Culturewell Hemp to establish what is described as India’s first fully integrated hemp fibre‑to‑yarn supply chain based on certified US‑grown industrial hemp.

The collaboration links Panda Biotech’s mechanically cottonised hemp fibre with new degumming and spinning capabilities in India, allowing mills to source finished hemp yarns locally rather than importing fibre alone.
