    STFI will use INDEX 2026 to showcase circular nonwoven acoustics, ballistic composites and bio‑based fibre developments for technical textiles

    Chemnitz - The Centre of Excellence in Nonwovens at the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut (STFI) will present new concepts for the textile circular economy, bio‑based polymers and safety textiles at next week’s INDEX exhibition.

    The focus will be on acoustically effective nonwovens from chemical recycling residues, bioplastic‑based structures and alternative cellulosic fibres derived from Kendyr straw at Stand 1369.
