Arvind acquires US needlepunch specialist

Arvind Advanced Materials has taken a majority stake in US nonwovens manufacturer Dalco‑GFT, adding North American capacity and new application areas to its advanced materials platform

AHMEDABAD - Arvind Advanced Materials, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arvind Limited, has acquired a stake of almost 61% in Dalco‑GFT, a US manufacturer of specialised needlepunch nonwoven technical textiles based in North and South Carolina.

The US$136 million deal gives Arvind management control and marks its entry into the United States technical textiles market.
