Ahlstrom to centralise speciality material innovation

Ahlstrom is consolidating its group research into a single global innovation hub in Pont‑Évêque, France, to accelerate sustainable fibre-based material development

Ahlstrom will continue to operate R&D and application development sites in Europe, North America and Asia alongside the French hub

STOCKHOLM - Ahlstrom is bringing its group research and innovation activities together in an expanded global innovation hub in Pont‑Évêque, France, in a move designed to speed up the development of safe and sustainable fibre-based solutions for multiple industrial markets.

The proposal would consolidate R&D functions currently split between Apprieu and Pont‑Évêque into a single centre that remains closely linked to the company’s wider global R&D network.
