    Global brand owners and organizations are focusing heavily on environmental sustainability. The need to improve has never been greater, as expectations of achieving positive change are here to stay, especially in reducing the carbon footprint of products.

    In disposable hygiene articles, adhesives play a critical role in bonding multiple components. Innovations in the adhesive industry have helped decrease environmental impact by achieving a significant reduction of the overall diaper thickness/weight and reducing the add-on or energy spent on the adhesives themselves.

    Hot melt adhesive formulations traditionally rely on raw materials based on fossil fuel technology. To answer the demand for more sustainable solutions, H.B. Fuller scientists have ultilized fossil-free technology and developed new bio-based hot melt adhesives. These latest innovations are optimized for key adhesive applications and support carbon emission reductions by replacing some fossil-based raw materials with bio-based, renewable materials.

    Compared to traditional hot melt adhesives, H.B. Fuller is able to reduce carbon emissions significantly with these new adhesive solutions*.

    • Bonding performance maintained or increased versus traditional hot melt adhesives in the market. They can also enable mileage reduction to further minimize resources
    • Can be applied through existing hot melt adhesive application equipment. This supports shifting between hot melt products without incurring capital machinery costs
    • Designed for both traditional and natural-based substrates
    • Resistant to extremes of temperature, making them suitable for a broad range of application conditions
    • Low temperature application option, with lower energy consumption to reduce material usage when appyling thinner substrates

    Full-Care ® 5925

    • Robust construction adhesive with 81% bio-based content according to EN 16640:2017

    Full-Care ® 6925

    • Robust positioning adhesive with 75% bio-based content according to ASTM D6866-21
    • Reliable performance maintained across a wide variety of textiles
    • Performance levels achieved immediately and remain stable during a long period of time

    Full-Care ® 8910

    • Proven specialised adhesive for elastic applications, delivering the ultimate creep resistance at the lowest coat weights with estimated bio-based content of ~55%
