GENEVA – Verification and testing specialist SGS has developed a new accreditation standard for facemasks, which include textile face coverings that use nonwoven layers for additional filtration purposes.

The SGS Independently Checked Mark (IC Mark) for reusable face masks will  verify the key performance attributes of products in line with the recently published consensus standard ASTM F3502 Standard Specification, which SGS had a hand in developing.
