  • Ford active on all fronts against Covid-19

    DEARBORN – As part of its Apollo Project Covid-19 response, Ford is now manufacturing both face masks and respirators in close collaboration with 3M. It is also assisting its supplier Joyson Safety Systems to manufacture reusable gowns from airbag materials.

    In addition to the current production of more than three million face shields in Plymouth, Michigan, Ford-designed powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) production began on Tuesday, April 14.
