SCHUMAN – European PET recyclers have faced substantial additional costs in response to a decreased yield of recyclable materials, according to Plastic Recyclers Europe (PRE). The average yield has decreased from 73 to 68 per cent since 2011, with recyclers obliged to discard more material in order to achieve good quality of recycled PET, the association claims.
