The European PET Bottle Platform (EPBP) has given interim approval for the recyclability polyethylenefuranoate (PEF) – a material often used as the main component in personal and home care products. The approval will see Dutch bioplastics business Synvina look to licence its PEF recovery systems for industrial-scale production.
