German speciality chemicals company Evonik says it intends to strengthen its biotechnology platform and will complete the acquisition of a large technology package from French biological chemistry company METabolic EXplorer (METEX). Both parties have agreed to exclusivity and aim for a timely conclusion of the agreement.
