Private investment firm Equistone Partners Europe has acquired a majority stake in Sihl, the specialist in coated nonwovens, fabrics, films and papers for digital printing. With plants in Bern, Switzerland, and Düren, Germany, a logistics and converting centre in Fiskeville, USA, and an extensive distribution network, Sihl employs 500 people and achieved sales of over €140 million in 2015.
