The applications being explored for nonwovens in the field of energy generation and storage are extremely diverse, ranging from advanced battery separators in new charging devices to temperature stabilising systems and engineered materials capable of being packed with power.
The charging of mobile phones and laptops when on the move, for example, continues to be a major problem for travellers and one solution now being commercialised is the Zap&Go. Adrian Wilson reports.
