WipeMeWorld, winner of the Short Life Converted Products Achievement Award at IDEA16 with WipeMe (flushable toilet paper on a roll), is to increase its supply chain by offering an ‘open platform’ for solution partners. In conversation with SNW, company founder, Ronen Cojocaru, says the IDEA award is recognition of WipeMe as a truly flushable solution and offers partners confidence in what can be a confused market sector.
Based in Hong Kong, WipeMeWorld (WMW), manufactures tissue products for the consumer market using its own proprietary technologies.
As previously reported by SNW, the company is to expand the WipeMe range of products to include wipes for kitchen roll, along with a range of sanitising wet wipes for use in medical rooms and operating theatres.
“Customers want new solutions and ideas which will improve their lives,” says Cojocaru. “In the nonwovens industry, environmental concerns are driving the trend towards using flushable wet wipes. However, there is a fair bit of confusion, as a lot of vendors are declaring that their wipe are flushable but a large number are not truly meeting the requirements. Therefore, we are very happy to say from the start, that our solution is exactly what the market is looking for - toilet paper which includes truly flushable wet wipes, which provide the same function, look, and feeling as any traditional toilet paper.
