Following an exploration of routes to produce bio-derived Polypropylene (PP) at a lab-scale, P&G says it will instead pursue its use of recycled PP, as “the economics of this [the recycled PP] process are extremely challenged.”
“We are actively working both internally and externally to develop the technology required to provide recycled PP at the required volumes and quality,” the company noted in its latest sustainability report.
